Announcement : Regina Legion’s Burns Night Celebration Raises Over $5000
On January 27th, 2024, the Regina Legion hosted a Burns Night celebration and fundraiser that positively impacted the attendees and the local community. The event at the Legion in the newly refurbished event space and the stunning memorial tower was a testament to the community spirit and support for a noble cause.
The Regina Legion extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, demonstrating their commitment to honouring Scottish traditions and supporting the critical work carried out by the Legion for local veterans.
Crucial to the triumph of the evening were the event sponsors, whose generosity and commitment played a pivotal role. We would like to recognize Elevation Drone Works, Great Canadian Oil Change, CH Group, Worby Wealth Management, and James Wruth, Remax Crown Realtor, for their significant contributions. Their sponsorship helped cover event expenses and contributed to the funds raised for the Regina Legion. In addition to the event sponsors, the Regina Legion deeply appreciates the in-kind sponsors, Tahnee Fournier, owner if The Feminine Vine and The Ramada Plaza. Their contributions in time, products, and services added a special touch to the evening, enhancing the overall experience for all attendees.
The Regina Highland Dancing Association deserves a round of applause for providing captivating Scottish entertainment, enriching the cultural aspect of the night. The energetic performances added a lively and authentic touch to the celebration, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone.
Two standout individuals, John Hall and Matthew Bryson, deserve special recognition for their contributions to the night. John Hall’s eloquent address to the haggis added a touch of tradition. At the same time, Matthew Bryson’s impressive bagpipe skills filled the venue with soul-stirring melodies, creating an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie.
The 2024 Burns Night Celebration raised over $5000 for the Regina Legion. This will contribute to the Legion’s ongoing efforts to support local veterans, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who have served our country.
Last but certainly not least, the Regina Legion extends a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Their countless hours of hard work and commitment were instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the event, from planning to execution.
